Corporate Stance & Philosophy

Mitsubishi Motors has drawn up a new corporate philosophy that both states the purpose of the company’s existence and provides a clearer roadmap for its future direction. Adhering to “The Three Principles” of the Mitsubishi group of companies, the new philosophy will serve as a touchstone for all activities conducted under the Mitsubishi Motors name. The central concepts of this philosophy are as follows:

  • Customer-Centric Approach

Mitsubishi Motors will give the highest priority to earning the satisfaction of its customers, and by doing so, become a company that enjoys the trust and confidence of the community at large. To that end, Mitsubishi Motors will strive its utmost to tackle environmental issues, raise the level of passenger and road safety, and address other issues of concern to car owners and the general public.

  • Going the Extra Mile

Mitsubishi Motors will pay close attention even to the smallest detail with the belief that this approach will lead customers to discover new value in their cars, giving them a richer and more rewarding motoring experience.

  • Development and Manufacturing

The cars that Mitsubishi Motors will manufacture will embody two major concepts: “driving pleasure” and “safety”. Mitsubishi Motors will manufacture cars that deliver superior driving performance and superior levels of safety and durability, and as such, those who use them will enjoy peace of mind.

  • Importance of Continuity

Mitsubishi Motors will continue to manufacture distinctive cars with the passion and conviction to overcome challenges.

The Three Principles
  • Shoki Hoko

Corporate Responsibility to Society: Strive to enrich society, both materially and spiritually, while contributing towards the preservation of the global environment.

  • Shoji Komei

Integrity and Fairness: Maintain principles of transparency and openness, conducting business with integrity and fairness.

  • Ritsugyo Boeki

International Understanding Through Trade: Expand business based on an all-encompassing global perspective.

New Santa Rosa Plant

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation, as one of the country’s leading automotive brands with more than 50 years of automotive manfacturing experience in the Philippines, comes home to its new manufacturing plant in Santa Rosa, Laguna.

Occupying 21 impressive hectares, the new manufacturing plant can produce a maximum of 50,000 units annually. As work progresses, new units to be manufactured here in the Philippines, will be added to the already existing line-up of the Adventure and L300.

In addition to transferring to a bigger plant, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) also upgraded its equipment to further improve the assembly process and quality. One of which is the automated plastic parts paint robot – the first of its kind in the Philippines. Paired with the topcoat body spray robots, this results in a quicker and more consistent paint process. The newly adopted 3C1B paint shop seals the deal of the company’s new effort for efficiency and quality.

As part of New Stage 2016, the manufacturing plant move will generate additional job opportunities to the already nine hundred-strong workforce MMPC has.

Last 2014, MMPC sold a total of 50,085 vehicles – a historical sales record and 8th consecutive year of growth for the company.

Moving forward, MMPC is poised to keep its strong industry position with its extensive vehicle line-up and a continuously expanding dealership network.
